Day 1 : Entebbe – Kampala
On arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be met by a Msafiri Tours guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala.
Day 2: Kampala – Jinja
Your Msafiri Tours guide will meet you at your hotel after breakfast to start your Uganda farming and agro tours. You will drive East to Jinja via Kayunga where you will visit organic farms growing papayas, banana (matooke), and coffee. Whilst on site, you will have a taste of fresh fruit straight from the field and the farmers will share their stories and experience, and demonstrate their methods of farming. You will visit the Lugaze tea plantations on the way. You will stop in Mabira Forest for a picnic lunch after a guided tour of this tropical forest. After lunch, you will drive on to Jinja to see the source of the mighty Nile River and Bujagali Falls. Dinner and overnight stay at Jinja Nile Resort (high end luxurious accommodation or Kingfisher Resort Jinja (medium rated accommodation). Full Board.
Day 3 : Jinja – Mbale
After breakfast, you will drive to Mbale, visit organic Arabica coffee farms and vanilla growers, then return to Mbale Resort Hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Full Board.
Day 4 : Mbale – Sipi Falls
After breakfast, your guide will take you on a hike up Mt Elgon, followed by a visit the Sipi Falls which tumble down the foot of the slopes of Mt. Elgon. Here you will see several mammal species and forest birds. Overnight stay at Sipi Falls Resort (high end accommodation) and Lacam Lodge (medium rated accommodation). Full Board
Day 5 : Kampala – Departure
After breakfast, you will start your drive back to Kampala. Depending on your time of arrival back, you may go on a Kampala city tour, and visit Namirembe and Rubaga cathedrals, as well as the Namugongo martyrs shrine (famous for the execution of Christians in 1886 by Kabaka Mwanga, the King of Buganda reigning at the time), Kabaka’s lake, Makerere University, the Baha’i temple which is famous for its architectural design, Kibuli Mosque, the Uganda Museum, Kampala Taxi Park famous for its organized chaos and the Nakasero Market famous for its fresh fruits. You may also visit Kampala crafts Village to pick up souvenirs.
Day 6: Flight home
Depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to Entebbe International airport to catch your flight back home.
